Letter From The Editor PhotoFrom the Desk of
Geronimo Stilton

Dear Mouse Friends,

I have been up to my snout in work lately. As everymouse knows, I can always use some time to rest my weary paws. So when my sister, Thea, barged into my office the other day, demanding that I drop everything to go on a fabumouse vacation, how could I resist? Relaxing on a beautiful tropical island was just what I needed!

Unfortunately, Thea and my idea's of a relaxing vacation are as different as cat and mouse. She wanted an adventure filled with pythons and giant tarantulas! I wanted a nice cheese dinner and a good night's sleep. But there's no arguing with Thea.

Before long, we were off on a thirteen-hour plane ride to the Pirate Islands! If that wasn't bad enough, our pilot, Rough Rat Ricky, a most bizarre-looking rodent, flew our plane right into a tornado! Believe me, everyone—even Thea—turned as pale as a ball of mozzarella.

But nothing can stop the Stilton family. Once we were safe and sound on Thump Flop Island, the real adventure began! We encountered mega-huge crabs and even a treasure map! I've written all about where the treasure map led us in my newest adventure, Shipwreck on the Pirate Islands. It's definitely a good one, but you might want to leave the light on—all kinds of scary things happen!

Yours truly,
Geronimo Stilton
